Ten years ago, a group of townfolk got together and bought the property that houses our combination general store and post office in Canterbury Center in an effort to preserve a long tradition of having a central place to take care of your mail, get a snack, pick up some groceries, animal feed, aspirin, work gloves, post cards - just about any essential thing you need without having to drive a round trip of over 20 miles to another town to get! The Store is also a focal point for people to meet and greet and get information-offical and unoffical-about what is going on in town. The Store is having a celebration featuring various refreshments, activities and live music on the porch - stop on by and say hello. There will be many musical guests including local songwriting legend Mark Hopkins and friends, myself and the award-winning country fiddler, Dudley Laufman.
